Leif, Rosalyn, and Rook want to go home. There’s just a few zombie dogs in the way.

The Sorensen siblings roam the woods every week: playing with knives, lighting fires, and… figuring out first aid. Their homeschool nature group in northern Virginia is terrific—until the day an unleashed dog attacks. Is it sick? Is it injured?

Worse. It’s a zombie dog. And it’s not the only one.

Four-legged foes prowl behind every tree and the kids’ survival skills are put to the ultimate test. Can Leif, Rosalyn, and Rook protect each other? Can they ever get home to their parents and little siblings?

But home isn’t safe either. Mom, Dad, and the littles must fend off their own zombie Fidos. These undead dogs play a mean game of fetch.

The Sorensens are scattered, and they don’t know which furry friends—or humans—they can trust.

Canine Z chronicles one family’s struggle to reunite at the onset of a zombie dog apocalypse. Full of purebred suspense, this saga will keep you turning pages faster than a dog runs down a delivery driver.

Canine Z is a recipient of an Olive Woolley Burt Award, a Silver Quill, and a PubWest Book Design Award.
